Emergency Service 7 Days A Week

Our Blog

When your city is being quarantined…

Dear Sierra Pacific Client,

It’s in conversations every day, on the news, and in meme’s on social media – there’s no escaping it.

It’s got the whole world in a frenzy. Local school events and trade shows are cancelling, people are raiding Costcos to stock up on supplies, and way more people are washing their hands than usual (to name a very small number of things that are happening).

I’m not a medical expert and have no place giving any medical advice whatsoever. Instead, I just want to share how I and the Sierra Pacific team personally choose to respond to threats, and share some things that might be helpful to you.

| We don’t let fear control us.

It’s very likely that if you’re reading this, we’ve done work for you at your home or you’ve seen us at a Home Show. Maybe you’ve seen our Big Red Trucks and called us out to give you an estimate in the past.

We earn our living by serving as craftsmen and service professionals to Sacramento area homeowners who make improvements to their energy and comfort systems.

So the sudden wave of local school and event cancellations threaten us. And a threat might strike fear. But we choose not to be afraid. Instead, we choose to serve.

We know that water heaters will break – and we will be there. We know utility power outages will occur and our clients will want whole-home standby generators or solar batteries – we will be there. We know that air conditioners need regular maintenance and the filters replaced – we will be there. *P.S. If you’d like an Ultraviolet (UV) germicidal light installed on your central hvac system to help purify your home’s air, call us!

Our friendly craftsmen will still do all these things to continue serving you, our clients.

The message: we don’t let fear drive our decisions.

| This too shall pass.

Nothing is ever as bad or as good as it seems. All things in life are temporary. Consider the recent plunges in the stock market (I am NOT a financial adviser. This info comes from a skilled firm called Wealth Navigation):

  • Since 1980, there have been 31 corrections of 10% or more in the market. 90% of the time the market has been higher 1 year later by an average of 23%.
  • Since 1962, every single time we’ve seen intense selling pressure like we saw last week (more than 90% of all stocks trading down at the same time), the market has been higher a year later by an average of 24%!

The Sacramento area is strong and a good local economy. The trials and challenges will pass. They always do. Things always get better.

| Let us know if you need help.

The Coronavirus may not be effecting your home, but I bet something is. Something is causing your utility bill to be too high right now, or for your home not to be healthy and comfortable.

Whatever it is, let us know if you’d like some help addressing it.

If not now, no worries.

We have a team of experts that can help you address your important upgrades for your home…when you’re ready. All you have to do is just click here
